Hello all, and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. I’ve been so buried in life issues and work deadlines that I haven’t found the time to post here. I think around two months (has it?!) have passed since I did a mixtape and there’s so much good music that I’m at a loss re what to feature. So, I decided to start by looking at singles from 2022 albums that I absolutely adore (and some that I’m anticipating)!
Shadow In The Frame — Daniel Rossen
I started listening to this album today. I’ve been hankering for a new Grizzly Bear album for oh so long but this beauty from co-frontman Daniel Rossen more than makes up for it. The songs are like a long, warm welcome-home hug and I just want to curl up in the sounds. Here’s the latest video release.
Kiss Me (I Loved You) — Father John Misty
This has to be my favourite song from his latest album which I’ve listened to, oh-so-many times. Because FJM albums are always more than partially autobiographical, a whole lot of delicious speculation abounds with each track!
Fever — Alduous Harding
This has got to be one of my most-played albums in 2022. So good. I can never get enough of Harding’s voice!
Other 2022 albums I’m looking forward to: Warpaint, Caroline Polachek, The Smile, and it looks like maybe something solo from Thom Yorke?!
Here’s something new from Warpaint. I squealed when I heard it! Yes, I turn 47 this year. What of it? I shall never have any chill when it comes to the bands I love.
